East Tennessee native Terry Turner is president of All Occasions Party Rentals in Knoxville, Tenn. Terry has worked in the rental industry for 25 years. Terry went to work in the rental industry at Party Rentals in Knoxville as a temporary employee in 1991. Terry served in a regional position with responsibility for managing businesses with construction, general tool, party or event inventory. This position lasted until the owner, Chuck Rothstein, sold to HSS Rent X in 1998. Terry founded AOPR in November 2002 and had the opportunity to purchase the party division of HSS RentX in Knoxville in 2004. Terry's former boss, Mr. Rothstein, joined him as a founding partner of AOPR.
Locally, Terry serves on the boards of Knoxville Zoo, Child Help, Evening in Orange, Junior Achievement of East Tennessee, Knoxville Chamber, Live 5, Random Acts of Flowers, Sertoma Center, and Tennessee Valley Fair. He is also an active committee member of the Knoxville Area Golf Charities which produces the Web.com Tour golf tournament. Terry is the 2018 President Elect of the Knoxville Chamber. Nationally, Terry is the Chairman of the American Rental Association Board of Directors.
Terry and his wife Regina have been married for 25 years and have two sons – Jared and Jackson.
Chuck Rothstein graduated from Penn State with a BS Degree in Business Administration. He served two years in the United States Navy and worked two years as a Metropolitan Life Insurance Consultant. Mr. Rothstein spent 6 years as a District Sales Manager with Schlitz Brewing Company. In 1969, Mr. Rothstein opened Redi-Rentals on Northshore Drive in Knoxville, TN. In 1983, he separated the party and tool/equipment business and formed Party Rentals. He purchased the former UPS building on Middlebrook Pike where he moved his company. In 1998, Chuck Rothstein sold Party Rentals and Redi Rentals to HSS Rent X . He spent the next five years traveling with his wife. Mr. Rothstein and Terry Turner founded AOPR in November 2002 and had the opportunity to re-purchase the party division of HSS RentX in Knoxville in 2004. In 2012, AOPR purchased ToeZay Decorating and renamed it All Convention & Expo Services, East Tennessee's resource for trade show services.
Jim Decatur joined All Occasions Party Rentals as the General Manager of the Knoxville operation in 2019. He brings 20+ years of experience in operations, sales, and event management of party and equipment rental stores. He most recently worked in the rental industry in Chicago, Illinois. Jim and his family relocated to East Tennessee and are looking forward to making this their new home. Jim enjoys spending time with his family, and cheering on his favorite team (the Chicago Bears). He and his family are excited to experience the many adventures that the Smoky Mountains and East Tennessee has to offer.
Jeff joined All Occasions Party Rentals in 2003. During his extensive career in the industry, he has been involved in the Dogwood Arts Festival, Greek Fest, Regal Variety TN Movie Premieres, Air Shows, concerts and fundraisers. Jeff attended Fordham University in New York City.
Brian has spent the majority of his life growing up in Tennessee between Nashville and Knoxville. Prior to entering the event rental industry, Brian worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry while attending college. He joined All Occasions Party Rentals in the spring of 2016 and has been involved in Knoxville Area Golf Charities’ Web.com Tours, MAHLE’s annual company picnic, and many of Knoxville’s special events. He enjoys family, athletics, and the outdoors.
Cindy joined All Occasions in April 2008 and has been a great addition to the group. She specializes in linens and provides exceptional sales and event assistance to our local vendors and clients. Prior to joining AOPR, she worked at American Limestone Company as Administrative Assistant to the Vice President and sales staff. Cindy enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, lake living, the outdoors, her flower gardens and traveling. She resides in Anderson County with her husband.
Kim has been with All Occasions since the very beginning and brings a great deal of experience to her role. Over the years, she has held several key management positions as Customer Service Manager and Senior Operations Manager. She brings satisfaction to our clients and an effective and efficient structure to our office. In her latest role, Kim is able to enjoy spending more time with her young grandchildren and their parents.
Taylor joined All Occasions in June 2017. She is a recent graduate of The University of Tennessee with a degree in Communication Studies and minor in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Taylor previously has worked as an intern for Prater Day Music Booking Agency, City of Knoxville Special Events Office, UTK Athletic Event Management, and Tennessee Smokies Minor League Baseball. Taylor enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, traveling, and relaxing on the lake.
Reilly first joined the All Occasions Party Rentals team as the lead Intern for Tailgate Tennessee in June of 2019. After graduating in May of 2020 with her degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management, with a focus in Event Planning, she joined the customer service team as an event coordinator. She is an avid Tennessee football fan and looks forward to her continuing role with Tailgate Tennessee. In her free time she enjoys watching all sports, exercising, and spending time with her family, friends, and her two dogs.
Vanessa joined All Occasions Party Rentals in May 2018 and began working in the linen department. She joined our customer service team shortly thereafter as our first bilingual event coordinator. Vanessa speaks fluent Spanish. She graduated from Powell High School and previously worked in the food industry and at a call center. Vanessa likes to go to the gym and spend time with family and friends in her free time.
James is a Certified Event Rental Professional and brings a lot of event industry expertise to our team. He joined All Occasions in 2006 with a portfolio of events including the Disney National Company Picnic, the Scottish Highlands Festival, and the Denver Bronco’s Super Bowl Celebration. James attended Colorado State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology.
Jeremy joined the AOPR team in October of 2018 as Operations Manager. He is responsible for managing our daily warehouse operations. He has worked in the manufacturing and logistics industry for 20 years where he managed the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing and warehouse facilities for a local company in Knoxville. Jeremy and his wife of 13 years have 3 children. Jeremy spends most of his free time at the ball field coaching youth travel baseball. When he's not working or at the ball field, he enjoys hanging around the house relaxing with family.
Michael Curtis has over 20 years of experience in the event and party rental industry. He joined All Occasions Party Rentals in the acquisition of Campbell Party Rentals in 2017, where he was the Field Operations Manager. Mike had been with Campbells since its opening in 2005. Prior to that, he was with HSS RentX from 1999-2004. Mike joined the Air Force in 1986 and was honorably discharged in 1996. In 2008, he joined the Army National Guard and is presently still serving. He has been happily married for 22 years and resides in Knoxville and will always be a Volunteer fan.
Kelsey has been with AOPR since September 2015. Kelsey previously worked as a member of the event staff at Ruby Tuesday Lodge and was an Event Operations Intern at Visit Knoxville. She is a graduate of The University of Alabama with a degree in Restaurant, Hospitality, and Meetings Management. She also received her MBA from Carson-Newman University in May 2014. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys spending time with her family and friends and relaxing on the lake. Kelsey was an All Occasions bride in November 2019 and married her husband, Todd.
Jason joined our team in February 2007. His first job in the events industry was in 1992 working in floral design and since has worked in the hotel, restaurant and off-site catering side of the industry. While working at AOPR, Jason has worked in Customer Service, Event Sales & Design, daily operations and now Jason handles our IT needs.
Jared joined AOPR full time in April of 2020. He started working part time in 2011, where he learned many of the important roles of the business. Some of these roles include pulling and staging orders in the warehouse, customer service, and sales. These roles have given him the chance to gain an extensive knowledge of company inventory, and what it takes to pull off a great event. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2020 with a degree in Business Analytics. When he is not working, he prefers to be on the lake or the golf course.
Boat has been with All Occasions since the beginning. He manages all daily in-coming and out-going deliveries. He has been involved in many events over the years, but some of the bigger ones include the Knoxville Museum of Art’s fundraiser L’Amour du Vin, BWXT Y-12 Company Party, and the Mortgage Investors Company Party. He earned an Associates Degree from the State Tech Institute in Knoxville and also has his Coatings Inspector Certification.
Zachariah joined AOPR in 2016 to assist with the management of daily deliveries. Previously, Zachariah served our country in the United States Navy. Previously, he was Operations Manager at Event Works in Charleston, SC. He graduated from Heritage High School and enjoys carpentry, working on cars, reading, and pretty much anything outside.
Vicki joined All Occasions Party Rentals in 2007 as Office Manager responsible for Accounts Receivable, Human Resources and Purchasing. Her organizational skills and sense of urgency work together to successfully meet the needs of the office and team members. Previously, she was an Event Manager at Sea Ray Boats where she was responsible for conducting multi-million dollar events in the U.S and abroad for 16 years. She also managed Sea Ray’s incentive and marketing programs with a $70 million budget. Vicki attended the University of Tennessee and studied Home Economics. She is famous among her family and friends for her cooking. Vicki is also a songwriter and has sung professionally for about 40 years. She recorded a country album in Nashville and various gospel albums with Capital Records. Two of her songs charted. She sings in a gospel group in her spare time.
Jim started working for Chuck at Party Rentals in 1990 and officially joined AOPR in 2003. Previously, he worked for a Highway Contractor as Credit Manager and then was promoted to Controller. He began his accounting career in 1967. When he is not working with numbers, he enjoys just sitting on his back porch with his lovely wife.
Connie joined the All Occasions team in September 2017. Connie graduated from Carson Newman University in 1988 and went to work as the Accountant for Burley Stabilization Corporation and enjoyed a twenty-eight year career there before joining All Occasions. She is active in her church, serving on the Board of Directors and as the Church Clerk. In her free time Connie enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Darla Walker joined All Occasions Party Rentals in 2019. She brings 20+ years of experience in designing, planning and executing weddings, in addition to elaborate special events. Before joining AOPR, she most recently worked as the Director of Residential Development in the building industry where she designed the interior and exterior of homes and apartments. She and her husband are joyfully anticipating the move into their new home that Darla both designed and supervised the construction. She and her husband of 40 years enjoy spending time with their family of two grown daughters and four granddaughters, traveling and the outdoors. They look forward to welcoming both family and friends to join them for many hours of laughter and warm hospitality in their new home.

All Occasions Party Rentals has implemented several increased safety measures to protect our customers and staff from Covid-19. We have installed several hand sanitizer stations throughout our showroom and warehouse. Masks are available for customers and employees have been provided masks to protect themselves. We've stepped up our daily cleaning of all surfaces to now include twice daily deep cleans and several cleanings per day of high touch points. We've also implemented a new touchless will-call procedure for customers picking up and returning from our warehouse. We have signage displayed in the parking lot that will give detailed instructions for the will-call process.
We are proud of the changes we have made and will continue to work with our local government and health department to ensure we are doing our part to protect our employees and customers. We are looking forward to the vibrant return of events in our area and can't wait to be a part of those special memories. Our showroom is open and available for in person ordering and we are also available by phone for remote ordering.
